TRAVELERS REST, S.C. – Diane Jean (McKinley) Cary, 86, originally of Westbrook and most recently of Travelers Rest, S.C. passed away Friday Feb. 5, 2021.

She is predeceased by her daughter, Robin Sarno formerly of Hilton Head, S.C. and survived by her daughters, Vicky Giaquinto of Travelers Rest, S.C., Tara D’Amato of Louisville, Ky., son, Jeffrey Martin of Las Vegas; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Whether she was working at the University of Maine or traveling the country, she loved to meet new people and made wondering lifelong friends along the way. She loved an adventure and enjoyed traveling with her daughters; she particularly loved the Southwest. She was an avid reader throughout her life. She will be missed by many.

There are no services scheduled at this time. She will return to Maine this summer and be laid to rest with family.
