“Standing There” is the debut single from a musical project called Savas, fronted by Portland-based singer Keanu Papassavas-Temor. The track was released on Feb. 12 and has already racked up nearly 4,000 streams on Spotify and more than 2,000 on YouTube.

“Standing There” is a vibrant pop tune with smooth, strong vocals.

“I saw you standing there/Checking on your phone/You called a cab/But you don’t want to go home,” sings Papassavas-Temor in a song that pulses with fresh beats and electronica pulses.

BTW, Savas is pronounced “Sahvahs” in case you were wondering.
