Linda Beatrice Cluff, 67, a longtime resident of Kennebunkport, died Saturday, Feb. 27, 2021, at her residence following a long journey in Alzheimer’s disease.

Linda was born Dec. 18, 1953, in Sanford, the daughter of Robert C. and Virginia Dennett Hatch, and is a graduate of Kennebunk High School, class of 1972.

Linda owned her own housecleaning business in the area, which she operated for over 30 years, taking pride in the work she accomplished.

She was a volunteer with AARP, helping many local residents’ complete their taxes at the Wells Public Library. In her spare time, going to camp in Sandy River Plantation was a place she loved to share with her family, hunting game of all types, fishing the many waters in the area, and soaking in the peaceful atmosphere that is the northern Maine woods. She also enjoyed tending her beautiful flower gardens around her home and camp.

Linda is predeceased by her husband, John Cluff, Jr.

Survivors include her son, Ryan Cluff, of Kennebunkport, daughter, Tari Hodgkins, and her husband, Stephen, of Biddeford, her mother, Virginia Hatch, of West Kennebunk, two grandchildren, Maranda Hodgkins and her partner Joseph Crowe, and Tyler Hodgkins, all of Biddeford, two great grandchildren, Callie and Colton Crowe, six sisters, Barbara Bunnell of North Carolina, Mona Descoteaux of Florida, Donna Shaw, Tammy Bickford, Vicki Davis, and Lisa Lord, all of Maine.

The family wishes to thank Ivan Beaulieu, a friend and caregiver as she began her journey in Alzheimer’s’ and for her caregivers, Linda, Lorraine and Kristina, that provided care and comfort, allowing Linda to live at home.

Friends are invited to visit with the family 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, March 4, 2021, at Bibber Memorial Chapel, 67 Summer St., Kennebunk. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, March 5, 2021, at the chapel.

Flowers are welcome at the service, but should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 383 Route 1, No. 2C, Scarborough, ME 04074.
