Bait Bag is the North Haven-based feminist punk trio of singer/bassist Courtney Naliboff, guitarist/singer Fiona Robins and drummer Claire Donnelly. They formed during the summer of 2018, inspired by a shared disdain for constant bad news, and their antidote has been making loud music together that combines rock and punk with a nod to the riot grrrl movement of the ’90s.

Their latest song is “The Pattern,” which takes a psychedelic turn using wah pedal guitar effects, farfisa (a type of organ) and layered vocals. Lyrically, the song celebrates astrology and is the band’s way of offering listeners a dance break and the chance to tell yourself you’re fine, even if you’re not.

The song will be available on all streaming platforms as of March 26, but you can hear it here first.
