Jeffrey Victor Makela

STANDISH – Jeffrey Victor Makela, 35, of Maple Ridge Drive, passed away Sunday April 4, 2021 at his residence. He was born on Sept. 20, 1985 in Alamogordo, N.M., the son of Victor and Susan (Lively) Makela.

He moved to Maine as a young child, attending local schools and graduated from Bonny Eagle High School. Jeff worked car sales for local dealerships, which included Berlin City and Ira.

He was a proud father and enjoyed doing things with, and for, his children. He was creative and could often be found working with his hands, building something new out of something old, watching documentaries and loved to debate no matter the topic. Jeff was outgoing, caring and an all around great guy.

Jeff is survived by his wife Nicole (Rich) of Standish; his four children, Madisen, Kennedy, Roman and Charlotte and one on the way, all of Standish; his parents of Standish; his grandmothers Annie Lively of Limington, and Dolores Makela of Portland; siblings Tim Duffy and wife January, sister Gina (Duffy) Fortin and husband Eric of South Portland and brother Luke Crockett and partner Brandy of Standish. Jeff is predeceased by his grandfathers Henry (Hank) Lively and Reinald (Victor) Makela.

Jeff will be remembered for his big heart and outgoing personality.
