Charles Frederick Swett, 73, passed away on May 31, 2021. Charles was born on Dec. 8, 1947, to Charles E. Swett and Lois E. Blanchard. He lived his entire life in Kennebunk, graduating from Kennebunk High School in 1967. He went on to serve in the United States Army. He enjoyed tinkering with small engines, and spent his career working as a mechanic, primarily for Shaw’s grocery stores. He was also a past member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows of Kennebunk.

He is survived by: his wife of 52 years, Beverly Swett of Kennebunk; his two daughters, Lois Wright and husband David, and Cheryl Noble and husband Kenneth, Jr., all of Sanford; his grandson Kenneth Noble, III, of Sanford; his father, Charles E. Swett of Kennebunk; his sisters, Susan King and husband Dick of West Kennebunk, Robin Nichols of Kennebunk, Brenda Swett of Kennebunk, Pamela Torno of Lebanon, and Sarah Hutchins and husband David of Kennebunk; many nieces and nephews, including Summer Cavallaro of Lebanon, with whom he had an especially close relationship; his Army buddy Harry Williams of Brunswick; his good friend Steve Edwards of Pennsylvania; and longtime neighbors Liz and Al Roper of Kennebunk.

An informal graveside service was held on Monday, June 7, 2021, at 10 a.m. at Pine Grove Cemetery, 161 Alfred Road, West Kennebunk, ME 04094.
