Coralie H. Steward
CASCO – Coralie “Cora” H. Stewart, 82, of South Portland passed away peacefully at her daughter’s home in Casco on Monday, May 24, 2021. She was the wife of 60 years to Robert L. Stewart. She graduated from Portland High School in 1956.
She was kind hearted, giving, always helping others, a Maine Mall walker, animal lover, amazing cook, friend, and most importantly a totally loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Her jobs included Maine Savings Bank, working for John E. Kazilionis, D.O. and Frederic Schwartz, D.O., Baxter Elementary School, and Elegant Traditions Bridal Shop.
She and her husband loved to travel the Caribbean, Alaska, Hawaii, Italy, and Scotland. They also toured the USA and Canada on a 12,000-mile trip in a VW camper.
She and her husband, Robert, volunteered for the USM Athletic Department for 23 years.
She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia D’Ascanio and husband David, son, James Stewart and partner Annette; grandchildren Adrienne D’Ascanio Schreder and husband, Darren, Jennifer D’Ascanio Dee and husband Chris, Andrew Walsh and partner Natasha; great-grandchildren Xavier and Maddox Dee, Olivia Schreder, Ethan, Eric, and Tegan Walsh.
She was predeceased by her parents; brother, sister; grandparents; and her husband, Robert.
Funeral will be private per Coralie’s wishes.
