SACO – Therese M. LaRoche, 86, of Saco, passed away on Saturday morning, Sept. 11, 2021.

She was born on April 17, 1935 in St. Agatha and attended schools there. She is the daughter of the late Joseph and Elise Babineau Dufour.

On Feb. 13, 1953, she married Robert R. LaRoche Sr. at St. Joseph’s Church in Biddeford.

Therese was a long-term employee of Shaw’s Supermarket. She enjoyed playing Bingo, eating the lazy man’s lobster at Wormwood’s and seeing her many friends in the community while doing daily errands and visiting local restaurants. But most of all, she enjoyed spending time with family, especially the grandkids and great-grandkids.

She is survived by her son, Robert R. LaRoche Jr. of Biddeford, her daughters Denise Pierce of Kennebunk and Jo-Ann L. Thibault of Parrish, Fla.; her sister, Cecile Berthold of Salem, N.H., six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Robert; her brothers Rev. George Dufour and Leo Dufour.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 22 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a service beginning at 1 p.m. at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., Biddeford, ME 04005. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery on West Street in Biddeford.
