WINDHAM – Simonne Lucille Landry, 97, was born in Lewiston, daughter of Hilliare and Yvonne Lemieux. She was educated in Berlin, N.H. While working in Westbrook at a shoe factory she met Amedee Landry. World War II separated them but in 1944 they were married while he was on furlough. They started a family and had four children. They lived in Windham until they retired and moved to Florida for 28 years as snow birds.
Simonne’s talents were far and wide. She could bake homemade bread, and big, fluffy rolls like no other. Her cooking talents brought her to be the manager of school lunch in Windham. She was also a seamstress, she designed and sewed a beautiful wedding gown for her daughters to wed in. She was an amazing woman and a warm and loving mom
Missed and loved by daughters, Brenda Calvet, Denise Smyth, and Debbie Landry; grandchildren, Kimberley harris, Kellie Harris, and Michelle Calvet; great-grandchildren, Kelsey Harris, Blaine Levesque, Eli Levesque, Logan Partridge, Jayde Judkins. Life-long friend, Nancy Carrol.
