Carolyn E. Goodwin

OLD ORCHARD BEACH – Carolyn E. Goodwin, 80, of Cider Hill, passed away Jan. 19, 2022 at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House.

She was born in Needham, Mass. on June 11, 1941, the daughter of Preston and Hermance Phaneuf Hopkins. Carolyn was a graduate of Needham High School, class of 1959. She worked over 40 years as an office supervisor for John Hancock Insurance in Newton, Mass. Carolyn was a proud member of the Red Hat Society, as well as the VFW and the Eagles.

Carolyn was predeceased by her brothers Arthur, Gerard, and Mark, and loving sister-in-law, Connie.

She is survived by her husband, John Goodwin; her brothers Ronald (Barbara) Hopkins, Preston (Deb) Hopkins, sister-in-law, Beverly Hopkins; and two special nieces, Linda Fife and Lisa Dube, as well as many other nieces and nephews; loving cousins; and close friends.

Service Date Change Due To Weather:  Calling hours will be held Saturday, Feb. 5 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Dennett, Craig and Pate Funeral Home, 365 Main St., Saco. Burial will take place at Sawyer Cemetery in Plymouth, in May.
