Cecille Lambert

Mrs. Cecille P. Lambert, 83, of Biddeford, passed away Saturday, Feb. 5, 2022, following an extended illness.

Cecille was born May 28th, 1938, in Arundel, to Mr. Ernest Marcel Moreau and Mrs. Lucette Ruel Moreau.

She was married to her first husband, Andre Auclair until his passing on Aug. 18, 1988.

She was remarried to Wilfred Lambert who passed away on March 22, 2004.

Cecille received her GED from Biddeford High School, worked at Alan Box and Kessler Box Shoe in Kennebunk, the Biddeford-Saco Tannery, Fiber Materials, and Ocean Communities Bank. She belonged to the Fremont Club, the 50+ club, as well as serving as secretary for the Daughters of Isabella.

Cecille enjoyed music, dancing, sewing, gardening, canning vegetables and applesauce, cooking (especially her pies), caring for the neighborhood cat, Tiger, and coordinating family gatherings. She had a big heart, always willing to help, enjoyed traveling to Florida as well as other city sites, displayed Christmas village for all to enjoy. She was very friendly, had several friends that became part of extended family, enjoyed going to the casino with her brother, Richard, sister-in-law, Sylvia, and friend, Ray, along with visits to Canada with her husband’s family. She will be missed dearly by all.

Cecille is preceded in death by: her parents; her husbands; brother, Ralph Moreau; sister-in-laws, Emily Moreau and Sylvia Moreau; and grandson, Eric Guertin.

She is survived by: her children, Pauline (Ken) St Onge, Suzanne (Yan) Verkempinck, Mike (Kathy) Auclair; brothers, Marcel (Lucille) Moreau, Richard Moreau, Robert (Linda) Moreau, and Leo Paul Moreau; grandchildren, Chad (Lauren) Guertin and Britney; and great-granddaughter, Victoria.

Visiting hours will be Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2022, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., Biddeford, ME. A funeral service will be held at Hope Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2022, at 11 a.m. Burial will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Cecille’s name for Research of Dementia Care.
