Edward R. King

ALFRED – Edward R. King, 80, of Alfred, died on Monday, August 1, 2022, at Maine Medical Center in Portland.

Edward was born in Westbrook, Maine on August 10, 1941, to Rene and Elinor (Emery) King. He had served in the Army National Guard and worked for many years driving trucks for Montgomery Ward. Going out to eat with his sister was one of his favorite things to do and he also loved spending time with his niece Jessica when she was young. He will be remembered as a fun-loving, gentle soul and will be dearly missed by his loved ones.

Surviving are two sons, Raymond King and Dennis King, both of Springvale; four siblings, Stephen Delrymple of Springvale, Mark Delrymple, Gladys Demers of Alfred and Elinor Ward of Springvale; and several grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 6 at the home of his sister, Gladys Demers, 230 Jordan Springs Road in Alfred.
