Several residents are needed to serve on the Cumberland Lands and Conservation Commission.

The LCC and its subcommittees promote the conservation of natural resources and encourage the conservation of water, land and open space and vistas in town. It also oversees the town’s forests and recreational trails and researches and recommends better methods to address environmental issues.

There is one vacancy on the commission, one member is needed for the trails subcommittee and two residents are being sought to serve on the sustainability subcommittee. Applications can be found at or by contacting Brenda Moore at 829-2205.
