Alice (Edgecomb) Littlefield
PORTLAND – Alice (Edgecomb) Littlefield, 91, passed away on July 28, 2022. She was born in Augusta on Aug. 28, 1930, the daughter of Gladys (Kinney) and Elwood Edgecomb Sr.
She attended Hallowell schools and graduated from Hallowell high school in 1948. She earned a B.A. from the University of Maine at age 50. She worked her entire adult life as an administrative assistant at McCaw Industries, the City of Portland, and eventually retiring from Bath Iron Works. She loved yard sales, beano, and making handmade crafts.
She was predeceased by her parents and two brothers, Elwood Jr. and Kenneth Edgecomb; a sister, Phyllis Carter; as well as a grandson, Charley Johnson. She is survived by her daughter, Cheri Johnson (Terry) of Benton, Arkansas; sons, Charles Littlefield (Luan) of Windham, and David Littlefield (Bonnie) of Portland; grandchildren, Todd Johnson of Arkansas, Christina Conant of Windham, Christopher Littlefield of Windham, Shawn Littlefield of Brunswick, and Matthew Littlefield of Arkansas; several great-grandchildren; and brothers, Ronald Edgecomb (Jacqueline) of Westbrook, and William Edgecomb (Patricia); and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held 1-4 p.m., on Sunday, Aug. 28, 2022, at the VFW Post 6859, 687 Forest Ave, Portland.
