Hires, promotions, appointments

Jessica Estes of The Boulos Company has taken the helm as president, the first woman to hold that position. Estes joined Boulos in 2003 and has held several positions within the company. Drew Sigfridson is stepping down from his role of managing director in the Portland office. Under his leadership, Boulos grew into Northern New England’s largest commercial real estate firm. He will continue to serve as managing director of the New Hampshire offices. Partner Nate Stevens, who joined the company in 2007, is taking over Estes’ former role as designated broker.

Colin March has joined Key Bank as commercial sales leader. March will lead the team of commercial bankers serving Maine middle market businesses. He will assume commercial banking leadership from Raymond (Chip) Kelley when Kelley retires at the end of November.

The board of directors of the Chebeague & Cumberland Land Trust has hired Penny Asherman as its executive director. Penny has served as a board member since 2003, including 13 years as president of the board.  Outgoing executive director Chris Cabot is leaving CCLT to work for Maine Farmland Trust.

Land For Good has named Mick Weltman of Portland its executive director. Weltman has served as executive director to nonprofits for more than 25 years. His work has included a focus on environmental issues and sustainability, smart growth, women’s health and international economic development. Most recently, Weltman worked in the Chicago area having spent nearly a decade growing the Associated Colleges of Illinois including developing one of the most diverse boards in the state. LFG is a nationally recognized leader and the only organization of its kind with a sole focus on farmland access, tenure, and transfer.

Sebago Technics, a Maine-based, employee-owned, creative engineering collective, has hired 11 new team members.

Coleen Gibbons joins Sebago’s Survey-Geomatics Group as a survey CAD technician. Gibbons is completing her degree in architectural and engineering design at Southern Maine Community College.
Richard Lewis joins as senior CAD technician on Sebago’s Project Delivery Team. Lewis has a degree in computer-aided drafting and design from Great Bay Community College and most recently worked for a CAD/BIM consulting firm in Maine.
Griffin Steinman joins as a traffic engineer within Sebago’s Transportation and Traffic Engineering Group. Steinman graduated from the University of Maine with a degree in civil engineering and has worked as a project engineer/estimator with a regional traffic signal equipment/services provider.
Caleb Howell joins as survey technician within Sebago’s Survey-Geomatics Group. Howell interned with Sebago earlier this year and recently graduated from Kennebunk High School. He has started taking survey courses toward his degree.
Tarah Doh joins as survey technician within Sebago’s Survey-Geomatics Group. Doh completed her service in the U.S. Marines earlier this year where she has gained extensive experience in surveying, survey equipment, and survey project management.
Kendall Willard joins as civil engineer. Willard interned with Sebago Technics during the Summer of 2021 after completing a degree in civil engineering from the University of Maine. She returned to UMaine to complete her master’s in civil engineering and graduated in May.
John Claytor joins the Sebago team as senior surveyor within the Survey-Geomatics Group. Claytor is a graduate of Northeastern State University with a degree in geography and environmental science and more than 10 years of experience in survey, CAD, and GIS work.
Abram Bartlett joins as CAD technician within Sebago’s Project Delivery Team. Bartlett earned his associate degree in CAD from Eastern Maine Community College. He has over five years of CAD experience and was most recently a technical design specialist at Hussey Seating Co.
Michelle Erskine is Sebago’s new administrative assistant. Erskine worked for the City of South Portland as an administrative assistant for the past 15 years.
Remi McDonald joins Sebago’s Project Delivery team as a project engineer. McDonald graduated from New Mexico State University with a degree in civil engineering and a focus on structural design. Licensed in both New Mexico and Maine, McDonald is experienced in transportation design, cost estimating, construction documents/plans, and public meetings.
Joshua Franklin joins as a landscape designer. Franklin has a master’s degree in landscape architecture from the University of Maryland and a bachelor’s degree in graphic design.
