Andre Deschambault
BIDDEFORD — Andre R. Deschambault, 87, of Biddeford, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 29, 2022.
Andre was born on May 27, 1935, to Alpherie Deschambault and Dorothy Petit. He was educated in Biddeford Schools. Andre served four years in the United States Coast Guard, being honorably discharged in 1956. After proudly serving his country, Andre married the love of his life, Therese, on April 23, 1957, at St. Joseph Church in Biddeford. They were married for 65 years and together had a son, Andre Jr.
Andre spent 35 years as a route salesman/truck driver. He also was a salesman for prefab and modular homes. He retired 1998. Andre worked part time at Hope Memorial Chapel. He loved to fish and enjoyed being outside taking care of the yard and flowers. He especially enjoyed taking Terry out.
Andre is preceded in death by: his parents; brother, Eugene Deschambault; and sister, Jacqueline Deschambault.
He is survived by: his wife of 65 years, Therese Deschambault; son, Andre Deschambault Jr. and wife Linda; grandson, Michael Deschambault of Wells, Maine; grandson, Scott Deschambault of Sanford, Maine: and two-great grandchildren, Genevieve and Quintin. He is also is survived by his sister, Carleen Winn-Deschambault and her husband Paul of Ogunquit, Maine; and her two children, Sandra and Arthur.
The service will be private. Arrangements are by Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., Biddeford, ME. Memorial donations may be made to the Animal Welfare Society.
