Kitty Wheeler 1939 – 2022 BRUNSWICK – Kitty Wheeler, 83, of Bath died of a stroke at Midcoast Hospital on Oct. 23, 2022. She was an amazing woman, a wonderful wife of 57 years and a wonderful mother of four children. She grew up in St. Louis, Mo. where she met her husband, Mark, who was a medical student at Washington University. They lived in Portland, Ore. for 30 years. They moved to Maine in 1996. She was well educated with two masters degrees: English and urban planning. She traveled the world, 60 countries in all. In addition to being a “super mom,” she was a tour guide, a freelance writer, and an enthusiastic outdoors person. She volunteered for many nonprofit organizations. Besides her husband, she is survived by son, Timothy of Portland Ore., son, Andrew of Philadelphia, Pa., son, Geoffrey of Madison, Conn. and daughter, Beth of Carbondale, Colo.; and 10 grandchildren. A memorial service will be held in the Spring of 2023. Arrangements are under the care of Kincer Funeral Home, 130 Pleasant St., Richmond, ME 04357. Memorial contributions may be made to Kennebec Valley Land Trust, MidCoast Literacy, or Grace Church in Bath.
