A Christmas Marketplace will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Bar Mills Community Church, at 13 Hermit Thrush Dr., Buxton.

The event will include a large selection of fresh holiday greens for home decorating, a wide variety of baked goods – cookies, breads, pies and candy – jars of Wanda’s Wonderful Homemade Pickles, and handcrafted gift items for family, friends and pets.

BOOTHBAY HARBOR
Boothbay Region Garden Club’s annual Holiday Festival will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday at St. Columba’s Episcopal Church at 32 Emery Lane.

The event will feature sales of unique, local, handcrafted gifts, including holiday floral arrangements and table décor, handmade nature gifts, baked goods, and new and gently used holiday items. New this year will be a section to purchase frozen or ready to take home meals.

BRUNSWICK
The 86th annual Yuletide Magic Marketplace will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, at 27 Pleasant St.

The Christmas fair will feature sales of baked goods and candy, hand knit and stitched items, a classic country store, jewelry, Christmas decor and ornaments, a book signing with local authors, a silent auction and gourmet frozen dinners.

The Yuletide Cafe will be serving homemade soups and chowders, breads and desserts. Young shoppers can enjoy decorating gingerbread cookies. All fair proceeds go to area nonprofits.

BUXTON
A holiday fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the First Congregational Church of Buxton (aka Tory Hill Meetinghouse) Parish House at 1197 River Road, Route 4A.

This year’s fair will include candy and baked goods, raffles, vendor and white elephant tables. Outside will be a selection of wreaths and cemetery baskets.

Also, there will be a take-out lunch that consists of either chili and/or chowder along with a hot dog and cookie. All luncheon proceeds will be donated to the “Keep the Heat on Program” administered by the Town of Buxton.

KENNEBUNKPORT
The Art Guild of the Kennebunks’ Art Exhibit and Sale will open from 1 to 4 p.m. Monday at the Masonic Hall at 10 North St., with additional showings set for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 6, 7 and 8.

The exhibit will feature more than 100 original works that include oils, watercolor, pastel, pen and ink paintings, as well as photography, pottery, wood carvings, art deco and “found art” items.

LOVELL
The Lovell United Church Christ Snowflake Fair will be 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at 1174 Main St.

The event will feature sales of balsam wreaths, berry bowls, baked goods and gifts. Takeout luncheon items also will be available, with sales benefitting the Mission Committee’s Christmas baskets for area families this holiday season.

NORTH WINDHAM
A Christmas Craft Fair will be 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at North Windham Union Church, at 723 Roosevelt Trail.

The fair will feature sales of fine crafts, pottery, soap, quilts, baked goods, books and fresh balsam wreaths. Lunch counter offerings will include Italian sandwiches, hot dogs, homemade chili and soup.

OLD ORCHARD BEACH
The 5th annual Craft Fair, sponsored by the RSU 23 PTO Boosters, will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Loranger Middle School’s Memorial Gymnasium, at 148 Saco Ave.

Come shop among a wide variety of handmade items and goods created by local artisans. Free admission and parking. Breakfast and lunch concessions will be sold, with items ranging from $1 to $5 and including bagels, donuts, coffee, hot chocolate, chili, soup, hot dogs, nachos and more.

A raffle table and 50/50 tickets also will be sold.

PORTLAND
An Elks Basket Extravaganza with Santa will be 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Portland Elks Lodge 188, at 1945 Congress St.

The event will feature raffles of more than 50 gift baskets, all value of $75-plus. Santa will arrive at noon and be on hand for photos until 2 p.m. Lunch items will be available for purchase from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. All raffle winners will be announced at 2 pm.

Proceeds to benefit the Maine Children’s Cancer Program, Intercultural Community Center and Portland Elks Lodge 188.

The A2U2 Holiday Artisans’ Market will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Allen Avenue Unitarian Universalist Church, at 524 Allen Ave.

“A Traditional Christmas” will be the focus of the annual 2022 Holiday Fair set from 8:30 a.m. to noon Saturday in the Parish Hall of the First Congregational Church of Scarborough, at 167 Black Point Road.

Featured will be sales of holiday greens, Christmas items, quilts, crafts, jewelry, gift baskets, knit goods, homemade baked goods, jams and jellies, candy and a Cookie Walk. Coffee and breakfast snacks will be available.

The Windham Hill UCC will host its annual Festival of the Trees event from noon to 8 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday in Fellowship Hall at 140 Windham Center Road.

The public will be invited to come and see the decorated trees, including lights and gifts that will be raffled off, with tickets available for a chance to win at the raffle drawing on Sunday afternoon. Refreshments and food will be available for purchase at the cafe. Masks are optional.
