Theodore “Ted” S. Bond

SANFORD – Theodore “Ted” S. Bond, 90, a long-time Melrose, Mass. resident passed away on Sunday, Nov. 20, 2022.

Born in Sanford, Ted was a graduate of Sanford High School, class of 1950, and the University of New Hampshire, 1954. Ted served in the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1956 in Germany. He dedicated his 37-year working career to Liberty Mutual as an insurance manager.

Ted was the husband of Jane (Richardson) Bond with whom he shared a loving partnership during 65 years of marriage. Devoted father of Douglas E. Bond and wife Kimberly of Elgin, Ill. and Russell D. Bond and wife Kristin of Reading, Mass.; grandad of Elysa and Sarah Bond; uncle of many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by parents Gladys (Stevens) Bond and Richard M. Bond; and his brother, Calvert Bond and wife Amanda.
