Cape Elizabeth’s Logan Schwartz completed a sweep at the Class B Alpine state championship by winning the giant slalom race Tuesday at Lonesome Pines in Fort Kent, and the Caribou boys and Fort Kent girls earned team titles.

For the second day in a row, Schwartz posted the best time in each of the two runs. His aggregate time of 1:20.77 was nearly five seconds faster than runner-up Max Bois (1:25.64) of Fort Kent. Keegan Lathrop (1:25.82) of Cape Elizabeth finished third, followed by Charlie Pye (1:26.72) of Mt. Abram and Killian Marsh (1:28.24) of Yarmouth.

Mountain Valley freshman Lily Boulanger won the girls’ giant slalom, just one-tenth of a second ahead of her older sister, Jaden, as they reversed the order of their finish in Monday’s slalom. Lily Boulanger’s combined time was 1:28.01. Cape Elizabeth’s Anya Monson (1:29.30) placed third, Brooke Boone (1:29.65) of Yarmouth was fourth, and Ashley Pelletier (1:29.97) of Lake Region finished fifth for the second straight day.

In the boys’ team competition, Caribou scored 1,519 points – 40 more than three-time defending champion Cape Elizabeth. Fort Kent (1,476), Yarmouth (1,452) and Maranacook rounded out the top five (1,448).

Fort Kent easily won the girls’ title with 1,486 points, ahead of Lake Region (1,422), Maranacook (1,413), John Bapst (1,387) and Cape Elizabeth (1,360).
