Bertram George Emmons

ARUNDEL – Bertram “Buddy” George Emmons, 87, passed away on Feb. 27, 2023 at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House.

Buddy was born in Kennebunk on Dec. 25, 1935, a son of late Seth I. Emmons and Carrie A. (Nutter) Emmons. He graduated from Kennebunk High School. Buddy went on to marry Arline L. Young in 1964.

Buddy had many occupations ranging from a machinist to many different self-employed businesses, including Emmons Small Engines and Antiques. He was a great car enthusiast and spent his time going to car shows, he was a member to Classic Car Club of America. He also enjoyed antiquing and watching the Patriots where he and his grandson would bet on the games. Buddy also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Buddy was a mason at the York Lodge No. 22.

He was predeceased by his wife, Arline Emmons; brother, Malcolm Emmons; daughter, Pamela (Emmons) Kent, daughter, Sandra (Emmons) Kahl.

Buddy is survived by his companion, Linda Lombard; his children, Todd Emmons and his wife Kimberly Emmons of Lyman, Stephen Emmons and his wife Elena Emmons of Kennebunk, and Susan Grimes and her husband Steve Grimes of South Carolina; his grandchildren Samantha Emmons-Lacasse and her husband Brett Lacasse, Ryan Emmons and his wife Kaytti Emmons, Anne Emmons, Carrie-Ann, Philip, Michelle, Donald, Crystal, Seth Israel, Chasity and Justin; great-grandchildren Granger Lacasse, Herbie, Happy, Haldan, Cassie, Christina, Charity, Ezra, Maiya, Mira and Candice; as well as a great-great-grandchild, Amaura.

Family is holding a Celebration of Life at the York Lodge No. 22 at 159 Alfred Rd., W. Kennebunk, on Saturday, March 11 at 1:30 p.m.
