SCARBOROUGH – Richard R. Poulin, 81, passed away on Feb. 24, 2023, at his home in Scarborough. Richard was born at home in Lisbon Falls to Simone and Lionel Poulin on Sept. 28, 1941.

He worked for Fairchild Semiconductor for 30 years, and after his retirement, worked at Dunstan Ace Hardware in Scarborough.

Richard always had a positive attitude and real curiosity for life. He could strike up a conversation with anyone anywhere. He had a great sense of humor and could joke with anyone.

He had a real passion for how things worked, and he could repair anything. In his spare time, he was always repairing something for a friend, or family member.

He enjoyed the yearly family vacations to Ormond Beach, Fla. He was very loved and will be extremely missed by his family.

Richard is survived by his wife, Carol Poulin; daughters Lisa Poulin; and Teri Hodgdon, son-in-law, Kenneth Hodgdon, and his grandson, Kenny Hodgdon, all of Scarborough; sister, Christine Hamel and brother-in-law, Robert Harnel of Auburn.
