Robert G. Wyman

CUMBERLAND – Eighty-seven years young, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend to many, Bob Wyman “Bubba” passed away Feb. 22, 2023, at Gosnell Hospice facility in Scarborough.

Family was the focus of Bob’s life. He and his wife, Anne, of 66 years, raised their two children in Unity.

Born in Waterville on Dec. 2, 1935, Bob was the son of Rodney and Alice Getchell Wyman of Fairfield. He graduated from Fort Fairfield High School and attended Colby College, the American Institute of Banking and Williams College.

After serving three years in the U.S. Army, Bob began his banking career at the County Trust Company in Dobbs Ferry, N.Y. Moving to Unity to take on the role of bank manager at the of Federal Trust Company, through multiple bank mergers retiring as Vice President Fleet Bank in Waterville.

Bob was an avid golfer, belonging to Waterville Country Club for over 25 years, fisherman, hunter, and sports enthusiast. He was an active community member and volunteer.
