Reuben K. Inniss, 74 years, a resident of Arundel, died Thursday, March 2, 2023, at Southern Maine Health Care, following a brief illness.

Reuben was born April 27, 1948, in Saco, the son of Orton G. and Ruth F. (Dyer) Inniss. Reuben attended local schools and graduated from Kennebunk High School, class of 1968.

Following graduation, Reuben became a chef at Valerie’s Restaurant in Ogunquit and worked there for 25 years. He was a Cantor at St. Martha’s Catholic Church from 1990 until 2015. He enjoyed gardening, cooking, reading and spending time and sharing stories with family and friends. He was a member of St. Martha’s Church in Kennebunk.

He was predeceased by brothers David B. Inniss, Roland K. Inniss, George Wormwood and Clarence Wormwood, sisters, Helen Bush, Esther Bush, Jeannette Dewitt and Fannie Bedard and son-in-law, Darrell D. Robinson.

Survivors include his partner of 27 years, Jeffrey Brennan of Arundel; daughters Sarah N. Inniss of Arundel and Laura J. Robinson of Dayton; and many nieces and nephews.

There are no calling hours. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at Holy Spirit Parish, St. Martha’s Church, 30 Portland Road, Kennebunk. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Biddeford in the spring.
