Another March nor’easter is coming to Maine, and this one will bring plenty of wind, heavy snow and waves with it.

Here’s a timeline of what to expect:

The storm will begin over the southern coast as rain over to snow during the morning Tuesday. By noon, it’s all snow for southern Maine. The storm begins to get stronger in the Gulf of Maine and send snow bands inland.

By Tuesday evening, the snow is heavy statewide except up in the County.The storm is at its peak by 9 p.m. with 1 to 2 inch snowfall-rates per hour.

It’s still snowing and breezy Wednesday morning but less accumulation as the snow tapers off during the afternoon.

The power outage threat is most significant, especially for the coast due to the high wind and heavy, wet snow.
