The March nor’easters are long gone, but the winter chill is lingering into early spring for Maine. Let’s look at the snowfall totals from the weekend before we get into the early spring outlook.
The County came in with several inches of snow from the latest (and hopefully last) snowstorm to hit Maine. South of Aroostook County, not much snow was recorded due to relatively mild temperatures.
The next several days will feature highs on a mini rollercoaster with up and down temps but no major fluctuations to end March and begin April.
The United States will be split in half as we get into the start of next month with above average temperatures for the south and below average in the north.
As a matter of fact, the temps in Maine will be the coolest for the East Coast. Typically this time of year, we experience highs in the mid-40s and lows in the low- to mid-30s.
It’s a reminder that we are not full throttle into spring yet for Maine, but we are almost there.
