Jack Edward Murphy

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Jack Edward Murphy, 78, formerly of Portland, passed away peacefully on Feb. 27, 2023 in Columbus, Ohio surrounded by his dear family. He leaves behind a legacy of love and charisma that will never be forgotten.

Born to John E. Murphy and Gertrude (Taylor) Murphy, in Portland, Jack grew up in East Deering and attended Portland schools.

Jack was predeceased by his parents; and sister, Lorraine.

He is survived by his younger brother, Steve (Adrienne); his two daughters, Erin (Shawn) Nelson and Shana (Bryan) Swartz; and his three dear granddaughters, Katie and Saran Nelson and Rowan (Yuzhe Wang) Swartz; nieces Candace and Farrah Giroux and nephews William Demmons and Ken Monroe. He will be deeply missed by all who loved him.
