Daniel C. Webster, 84 years, a resident of Hall Street in Kennebunk, died at his home on Feb. 12, 2023.
Mr. Webster was born on June 6, 1938, in Malden, Massachusetts, a son of Francis Champlin Webster, Jr. and Bertha M. (Bacon) Webster. He was a graduate of Malden High School and Chicago School of Interior Design.
He was employed by Porteous, Mitchell and Braun of Portland, and Chabot House of Portsmouth, New Hampshire, as an interior decorator. He also worked for Maine Trader’s Market of Kennebunk and Walmart of Sanford.
His hobbies included travel, photography and dancing. He was a member and past president of the Sandpipers Club in Portland, the Malden Historical Society, and the Humane Society of U.S. He was also a member of Christ Church, Kennebunk. During his lifetime he enjoyed the companionship of many cats, dog and friends.
He is survived by several cousins in Massachusetts and Oregon.
Visiting hours will be held 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 18, 2023, at Bibber Memorial Chapel, 67 Summer St., Kennebunk. Burial will be in Forest Dale Cemetery in Malden, in the spring.
