Kathleen (Kathy) Mae Cain of Arundel passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 14, 2023. Kathy was born in Ashland Junction, Wisconsin, and came from a large family. She was one of seven children who currently live throughout the United States.

Kathy was loved by many people in her community and was known around town as Mrs. Marty. Over the years, Kathy had many life experiences, one of which included being the wife of a lighthouse keeper. Kathy and her family rode out many storms while on Goat Island. The last one being the big winter storm of 1978. After several days with no power, Kathy and her family were rescued by the Coast Guard.

After leaving the island, Kathy and her family moved to Arundel where they started the family business MMJ Garage. During her years in Arundel, Kathy helped start the first Tigers Club and was an assistant scout master of Pack 330. Kathy also worked as a CNA at several nursing homes including Kennebunk Nursing Home, Saint Andres in Biddeford, the Maine Veterans Home in Scarborough and retired from River Ridge Nursing Home completing 17 years.

Kathy is survived by her husband of 53 years, Martin Cain III of Arundel, Kathy’s two sons, Martin J Cain IV and his fiancée Rebecca Lewis of North Berwick, John M Cain of Biddeford, her three beautiful grandchildren, Colby Cain of Scottdale, Pennsylvania, Bella Cain and Lily Cain both of Biddeford. Kathy also has nine nieces and nephews who she loved very much.

No services will be held at this time. A celebration of life will follow at a later date.
