‘Mommy-and Me Hope Planting’

A “Mommy-and-Me Hope Planting” event sponsored by the Be the Influence Coalition will be held Saturday, Oct. 14, at the Windham Public Library. Mothers and kids can paint a rock, plant a yellow tulip bulb or decorate cards while having conversations about hope and positive mental health for kids. A representative from the Yellow Tulip Project, a youth-driven organization working to erase the stigma around mental illness, will be at the event to answer questions and talk about hope.

The event runs from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m.

Free community supper

St. Ann’s Episcopal Church and the Wayside Food Program are hosting a free community supper on Thursday, Oct. 19, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the church located at 40 Windham Center Road. Contact the church at stannsoffice@gmail.com or 892-8447.

Lion’s Club Craft Fair

The Windham Lion’s Club Craft Fair will be Oct. 21 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the North Windham Union Church, 723 Roosevelt Trail. There will be an assortment of crafts for sale, including knit items, soaps, jewelry, gift baskets, painted and handcrafted items and more.

Harvest Fest rescheduled

The Windham Historical Society’s Fall Harvest Festival was postponed last Saturday due to the inclement weather predictions. It will be held instead Saturday, Oct. 14, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Village Green at 234 Windham Center Road.
