Beverly Ann Beeler

PORTLAND – Beverly Ann Beeler of Portland passed away peacefully at home with her daughters by her side May 20, 2024, at the age of 88. She was born in Skowhegan to Charles E. and Ida L. (Noble) Skillin of Portland. She attended schools in Portland and Rumford. She spent a big part of her childhood with family in Rumford.

She had been employed at National Semiconductor for 35 years. She retired as a CNA from Seaside Nursing Home in Portland. Her hobbies were knitting, reading, and gardening. She had a love for cats and dogs, with a special place in her heart for her Great Dane, Lovee. Her early years she enjoyed spending time with family and friends boating on Forest Lake and in Casco Bay, deer hunting in Rumford and snowmobiling.

Her best days were spent in her back yard with family and friends enjoying the swimming pool, having barbeques in the summer and all of the holiday dinners around the table at her home in East Deering.

She was predeceased by her parents; her loving husband of 62 years, Donald R. Beeler; her son, Eric; her sisters Sandra Jackson, Judith Cunningham, Susan Jahns; and her grandson, Daniel Sangillo.

She is survived by her daughters Ann Wilmot (Gary), Dawn Beeler, Kathleen Crawford (Scott) and Nancy Beeler (Dan); five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and her favorite cousin she considered as her brother, Larry Murphy of Rumford.

The Beeler family would like thank Northern Light Hospice and nursing for all of their assistance and kind care. A special thank you to our friend and neighbor Cathy Rand for her kindness and the special friendship she created with Bev when she needed it the most.

A private family burial at Forest City Cemetery in South Portland will be scheduled at a later date.
