A 12-year-old boy from Berwick has been missing for over a week, according to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.

Chase Buckner was last seen in Berwick on June 10. He weighs 118 pounds, is 5 feet 7 inches tall, has brown eyes and black hair.

Berwick Police Department Detective Brendan Reil confirmed on Wednesday night that authorities are looking for Buckner. Reil would not offer more details because it is an active investigation.

The center said that Buckner might be in Berwick or nearby cities in Maine or New Hampshire, according to a post on Ring Neighbors, a mobile application for sharing information on local communities.

The center told NewsCenter Maine that Buckner’s mother, Jennie Fall, is concerned for her son’s safety.

“Chase, if you are scared right now, know that I love you no matter what. Please come home and we will work through anything,” Fall said in a statement to NewsCenter Maine.

If someone has information about his whereabouts, they should call 911, the Berwick Police Department at 207-698-1136 or the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children at 1-800-843-5678. Tips can also be submitted online here.
