PORTLAND – Rita G. (Cox) Stain, 78, passed away on Thursday Oct. 17, 2024, at Maine Medical Center with her loving family by her side. She was born on Aug. 23, 1946, in Lubec, a daughter of Francis and Madeline (Allen) Cox. A mass will take place on Thursday, Oct. 24, 2024, at 11 a.m. at North Deering Congregational Church, 1364 Washington Ave., Portland. A burial will follow at the Forest City Cemetery, 232 Lincoln St., South Portland. Arrangements are under the care of Chandler Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, 26 W. Dwinal St., Mechanic Falls.
