Tickets are available for the Windham Chamber Singers’ “An American Family Holiday” concert taking place on Dec. 7 at 2 and 7:30 p.m. at the Windham Performing Arts Center. The concert will be hosted by Kim Block with performances by Travis James Humphrey, Daniel Strange and Ashley Liberty in addition to the Chamber Singers, all under the direction of Conductor Richard Nickerson. vaccine clinic

AgeWise Maine, the Windham Parks and Recreation Department, Age-Friendly Windham, the Opportunity Alliance and Avesta Housing are collaborating to offer a COVID-19 and flu vaccine clinic at Unity Gardens, 175 Tandberg Trail in Windham, from 10:30 a.m. to noon Monday, Oct. 28. Hay-lo-ween with
rescue horses

Little ghosts, ghouls and goblins are invited to the Maine State Society for the Protection of Animals from 4 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29, for Hay-lo-ween. The horses will be there to welcome the kids as they trick-or-treat in the barn. Arrive no later than 4:45 p.m. The barn will close promptly at 5 p.m. MSSPA is located at 279 River Road in Windham and can be reached at 892-3040.

Election Day
bake sale

The Windham Historical Society will have a bake sale at the Nov. 5 election. Look for its table at the polls where there will be a large assortment of homemade baked goods, ranging from cookies to breads to whoopie pies. The sale will run from 7 a.m. until the goodies run out. Proceeds will go toward the society’s Village Green.

Local Cancer Support
Group meets Oct. 29

The Windham Cancer Support Group meets the last Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at the Windham Public Library. This month’s meeting is on Oct. 29. Anyone affected by the disease in any capacity is welcome to attend.
