The race for a seat on Brunswick City Council underwent changes mid-October when District 3 candidate Mary McNulty dropped out of the race and Brunswick resident Chris Teel declared a write-in campaign to vie for the at-large seat.

Rep. Dan Ankeles and challenger Ivon H. Prescott Jr. highlighted concerns of housing costs, taxes and how they would address the disastrous Aug. 19 spill at Brunswick Landing.

Four seats on Town Council and three seats on the School Department Board are up for grabs, with 11 candidates total registered for the ballot.

Incumbent Cheryl Golek, a Democrat, and Republican Sean Hall compete for the legislator seat representing Harpswell and part of Brunswick.
