Mark L. Carson
RAYMOND – We bid farewell to Mark L. Carson who departed from this world on Oct. 18, 2024. Leaving behind a legacy of warmth and kindness, Mark walked through life with a gentle strength and compassion; touching the lives of everyone he encountered.
He found joy and happiness in classic cars, trains, the ocean, morning coffee with the crew, and spending quiet time at the cottage he built in Raymond with his wife, Lydia Carson and daughter, Natasha Carson.
Mark found beauty in life’s simple moments and encouraged us all to do the same.
To commemorate his incredible life and to celebrate the kindness and humor he spread, a graveside memorial service will be held in his honor at Murch Cemetery in South Casco, on Friday, Nov. 1, at 10 a.m. The family invites all who knew him, to join us in remembering a truly remarkable man. There will be an informal reception immediately after the service, at the family cottage in Raymond.
Arrangements are in the care of the Hall Funeral Home, 165 Quaker Ridge Road in Casco. http://www.hallfuneralhome.net.

We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
For those stories that we do enable discussion, our system may hold up comments pending the approval of a moderator for several reasons, including possible violation of our guidelines. As the Maine Trust’s digital team reviews these comments, we ask for patience.
Comments are managed by our staff during regular business hours Monday through Friday and limited hours on Saturday and Sunday. Comments held for moderation outside of those hours may take longer to approve.
