Jimmy Lambert scored 28 seconds into overtime as the Maine Mariners rallied for a 3-2 ECHL win over the Reading Royals Wednesday night at Cross Insurance Arena.
Maine tied the game at 2 on Brooklyn Kalmikov’s goal with 7 seconds left in regulation.
After a scoreless two periods, Reading took the lead on a goal by Todd Skirving at 1:08 of the third.
But Maine, which has won 3 of 4 games, tied it 37 seconds later on a goal by Patrick Guay.
Gianfranco Cassaro’s power-play goal provided Reading with a 2-1 lead at 8:05 of the third.
Maine goalie Ryan Bischel made 21 saves; Reading’s Keith Petruzzelli had 35.
