Judith Ann Giusti

PORTLAND – Judith Ann Giusti passed away at home, with her son by her side, on Dec. 8, 2024.

Judie was born on Dec. 11, 1942 in Portland, to Doris Willey and Eugene Ross Jr. She spent her childhood and adolescent years splitting time between Portland and the Twin Cities area in Minnesota, attending school in Portland. No matter where she was, Judie always had a close circle of dear friends and was known for her infectious sense of humor.

Judie worked for Barber Foods and the United States Postal Service in Portland. In her adult life, Judie dedicated herself to being a devoted mother. She stayed home to raise her son during his early years before returning to the U.S. Postal Service, where she spent some of the happiest times of her life.

Judie enjoyed a variety of hobbies, including poker, bowling, ceramics, and playing Fantasy Football with her friends and family. She was an avid football fan, which led to her adopting the nickname “The Duchess,” a moniker she was incredibly proud of.

Judie’s greatest joy was being “Nana” to her beloved grandchildren, Emilia and Tommy.

Judie was predeceased by her parents; her husband, John Giusti; her sister, Cindy Willey, her brothers Dan Ross and Thomas Willey, her brother, Dick Willey, and her sister, Helena Fogg.

Judie is survived by her son, Dan Giusti, his wife, Julie, and their children Emilia and Thomas, of Stoughton, Mass.; three sisters, Sharon Noren of Cambridge, Minn., Pamela Willey of Lakeland, Fla., and Rena Eliassen and her husband John of Harrison, and her brother, Ronald Willey and his wife Cathy of Windham.

A visiting hour will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 18, at 4 p.m. with a memorial service to follow at 5 p.m. at the Dennett, Craig and Pate Funeral Home, 13 Portland Rd., Buxton. A private family burial will be held at Brooklawn Memorial Park at a later date.
