
Alan S. Woolf
ALBANY, N.Y. – Alan S. Woolf, 74, of Albany, N.Y., passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at home. Alan was born in Portland, the son of Harold and Sylvia (Swartz) Woolf. He is survived by his sister, Karen.
Alan grew up in Maine, went to Syracuse University and became an accountant. He was employed by Albany International, Matthew Bender and NYS. After he retired, he volunteered for many different organizations.
He loved spending time in Maine and taking long walks with his beloved pets Jake, Tux and Oobea. He also had a great passion for music, Broadway plays and loved his Stewart’s sandwiches.
Alan easily made friends. Just some, who will especially miss his laugh, are Leonard, Pat Vona and family, Judy Hard (Steve), Sal Sturiale (Natalie), Gloria, Maryann, Mary Ellen, David, Steven, Becky and aunts, uncles and cousins from around the world.
Friends and family are invited to call from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 25, in the Wm. J. Rockefeller Funeral Home, 165 Columbia Turnpike, Rensselaer, NY 12144. A memorial service will follow at 5:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
