Chase Zieky scored the go-ahead goal at 14:22 of the second period, Jacob Hudson got the eventual winner on a power play four minutes later, and the Maine Mariners added two empty-net goals to secure a 5-2 win over the Reading Royals in an ECHL game Saturday night in Reading, Pennsylvania.

Zieky’s goal was his 100th career ECHL point. Hudson redirected a Tristan Thompson shot for his eighth goal in eight games.

Christian Sarlo opened the scoring for Maine in the first period and then capped the victory with an empty-netter. Justin Bean also scored into an empty net, Xander Lamppa notched three assists, and Mariners goalie Brad Arvanitis made 27 saves.
