Bobbie E. Moore
GORHAM – Bobbie E. Moore, 95, Gorham, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 28, 2025, at Gorham House. She was born on April 5, 1929, in Jackson, Miss. to the late John and Catherine (Dempsey) Harris.
On June 17, 1950, she married Arthur E. Moore Jr. from Southwest Harbor, Maine whom she met while he was stationed in Biloxi, Miss. They celebrated 60 years of marriage before his passing in August 2011.
Bobbie and Arthur moved to Maine after marrying and raised three boys in Cape Elizabeth before later relocating to Gorham. She and her husband also spent over 17 winters in Bradenton, Fla. Bobbie enjoyed cooking, knitting, sewing, gardening, and was a member of the Cape Elizabeth Garden Club. She loved walking on the beach. Bobbie was known for her homemade desserts, always offering a sweet treat to guests.
She is survived by her three sons, Dr. David Moore, D.C. and his wife Johanne of Quebec, Canada, Dr. Roy Moore, D.C. of Windham, Thomas Moore and his wife Brenda of Gray; brother John Harris and his wife Beverly of Bradenton, Fla.; eight grandchildren, Heather, Thomas Jr., Shawn, Scarlett, Emilie, Jonathan, Alan, Margaret; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Arthur; sister Peggy Harris; and grandson David Moore Jr.
Private graveside services will be held on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at the Maine Veterans Cemetery in Augusta.
