Barbara A. Durgin

FALMOUTH – Barbara A. Durgin, 87, of Clearwater Drive, passed away on April 8, 2025. She was born in Portland, a daughter of William E. and Winona (House) Durgin. Barbara attended Portland high school and graduated in 1956. She was a point of sale system specialist for major retail chains until retirement.

Barbara was an avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed attending their games.

She was full of love and will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and great aunt to her many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a sister, Sallie Pelkey; brother, William Durgin, II, and many cousins.

She is survived by her daughters, Lauri Gallo and her husband Leonard of Boonville, N.Y., Kim Wise of Wilmington, NC and Vicki Pistolesi and her husband Nic of Enfield, Conn.; her son, Rick Harriman and his wife Michelle of Gouverneur, N.Y.; grandchildren, Ryan Sweeney and his wife Kia of Punta Gorda, Fla., James Welsch and his wife Jennifer of Wilmington, N.C.; great-grandchildren, Kalani and Kaleia Sweeney, Oliver and Nora Welsch, all who lovingly called her “baNanna.” She is also survived by a brother, Bruce Doughty and his wife Joanie of California, as well as many cousins.

She will be missed by those who knew and loved her.

Burial will be at Brooklawn Memorial Park in Portland. Services will be private.
