The Gorham Historical Society will host an open house from 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 7, at its headquarters and museum in the Mosher Barn at Cherry Hill Farm, 28 Cherry Hill Road.

The event will include festive music, a cookie swap and tours of the barn, as well as collecting donations for the food pantry, according to the society’s Facebook page.
Lions Club selling Christmas trees
The Gorham Lions Club has Christmas trees available at its stand outside Plummer’s Ace Hardware in Gorham Village.
All proceeds allow the club to assist the Backpack Program, scholarships to six high school seniors, Gorham Food Pantry and many other local programs.
Christmas prelude concert
Gorham Community Chorus will be in concert at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 14, at Gorham High School, 41 Morrill Ave.
The Gorham High School Chamber Singers will be special guests.

Free winter sand
Winter sand is available to residents at the Gorham Public Works Department, 80 Huston Road. The resident sand shed is on the left side of Public Works Drive.
“You will need to bring your own buckets/shovel and we ask that you only take two, 5-gallon buckets per storm,” the department posted on Facebook.
