John Frances Dowling
LEWISTON – John Frances Dowling passed away suddenly at home after a lifelong battle with severe asthma and breathing difficulties.
John was a valued store manager of Sam’s Club in Scarborough. He had many previous management positions, was a stay-at-home dad for many years. John was a hard worker and was always willing to learn new skills. John loved all animals and had many of his own dogs; Metta was his love, as well as several other animals.
John is survived by his loving wife, Serena Dowling of Lewiston; his children, Chloe, Calvin and James; stepson, Tyler Dyer; his brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Michelle Dowling, of Canterbury N.H.; many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents Peter and Carol Dowling, formerly of Fremont, N.H.
There will be a celebration of life in Spring 2026.
