Jordan “Skyler” Madsen

PORTLAND – Jordan “Skyler” Madsen, 27, of the Portland area, passed away on Dec. 11, 2025, after a short illness.

Jordan lived with challenges related to opioid and heroin addiction, which over time affected his health. He was deeply loved by his family and by those who knew him. In his final days, Jordan began the difficult and courageous process of recovery. Though his life was cut short, those efforts reflected a strength and courage that will be remembered.

Jordan is survived by his brother Michael “Mike” Demarest and Mike’s wife Dani of Durham; his adoptive mother Mandy Madsen of Brunswick and adoptive father Carl Madsen of Bowdoinham; and his sisters Lila and Mia.

He is also survived by his birth mother Tiffany Jones of Rochester, NH; birth father Herb Roy of West Virginia; and grandmother Barbara Filteau of South Carolina. He will be remembered by many aunts, uncles, nieces, cousins, and friends from both his birth and adoptive families.

Two Celebrations of Life will be held: Jan. 9 at 3:00 p.m., Pathway Vineyard, 2 Columbus Way, Brunswick, Maine and late January (date and time to be determined) Preble Street Teen Center, 343 Cumberland Ave., Portland, Maine.
