Camillo John DiBiase

PHOENIX, Ariz. – Camillo John DiBiase, 75, of Phoenix, Ariz., passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Dec. 7, 2025. Camillo was born on July 2, 1950, in Portland, Maine, to John and Marilyn (Fogg) DiBiase.

Camillo attended South Portland, Maine schools; graduating from South Portland High School in 1969 at which time he attended the University of Maine in Orono earning a degree in History. After graduation Camillo moved to Phoenix where he found a life that agreed with his compromised health from an earlier issue with osteomyelitis, and where he also met his forever loving wife, Linda, to whom he was married for 48 years. Over Cam’s career, he served in social services, with state agencies and private nonprofits.

Camillo is survived by his wife Linda; son Nicholas (Stacy Seger); granddaughter Judy; and siblings Cynthia (the late Scott) Decker, John (Lynne) DiBiase and Maria (Edward) Doyle, as well as his sister-in-law Nancy (Brian) Miller, of Mesa, Ariz. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews; grand/great nieces and nephews; aunts and cousins. He leaves behind many lifelong friends, along with his caregiver Brenda, who brought him much joy in his last year with many outings, especially to get ice cream sundaes.

He was predeceased by his parents, John and Marilyn DiBiase.

Camillo will be remembered by his love of music, art and writing, as well as his sense of humor. He also is remembered for his great athletic ability. Cam was a “powerhouse”. He was known for his speed in track and his strength and agility on the football field, until his freshman year of high school when he became ill.

His Maine family will hold a Celebration of Life for Camillo’s family and friends on Sunday, Jan. 18, from 1 – 4 p.m. at the Elks Lodge, Congress Street in Portland, Maine.
