Dennis Aron Thurlow
LEXINGTON – Dennis Aron Thurlow, 72, of Lexington, passed away Dec. 26, 2025, at Maine Medical Center in Portland. He was born Dec. 15, 1953, in Portland.
Dennis was a graduate of Scarborough High School, class of 1973, and SMVTI. He married Bonney in 1978, and they shared 47 years together. He was well known in local racing as “Mad Dog Thurlow,” winning the first Wildcat Division at Beech Ridge Speedway He spent most of his life as a painter and was exceptionally skilled in restoration work. He also enjoyed hunting and ice fishing.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Bonney; daughter Mindy Taaffe and husband Patrick, with children Luke and Sloane; son Jaysen Cobb and wife Jess; daughter Renee Thurlow and husband Howie; daughter Katrenia Small and husband Chris, with children Jaaron and Raquel; brother Everett Thurlow and wife Anita; sisters Cindy Green and husband Jimmy, and Jody Snow and husband Paul; and many extended family members.
There will be no formal service. A celebration of life will be held in the spring.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Giberson Funeral Home, Madison.
