AUGUSTA – John Raymond Downes, 85, formally of Portland, and the loving husband of Rosalie Hoppe Downes, went to be with the Lord on Jan. 21, 2026, after a long battle with cancer at Togus Springs Hospice.
A graveside service will be held in the spring at Blanchard Cemetery, 215 Winn Road, Falmouth, Maine, date and time to be announced.
