Robert Kent Jewett
BATH – Robert Kent Jewett, 84, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2026.
Bob was born March 19, 1941, in Bath the son of Alvin and Nellie (Kent) Jewett. He was a graduate of Morse High School, class of 1960. In 1964 he married Georgia (Ginger) Lacy. After high school, Bob joined the U.S. Navy and retired after 22 years. He worked for Lockheed from 1983-1986, and for Bath Iron Works as a planner in the electric shop, retiring in 2003.
Bob was a model train enthusiast who started his layout at age 11. By age 84, he had a large, impressive layout that was enjoyed by family and friends. He enjoyed football, basketball, and all sports that his grandchildren played.
He was predeceased by his sister Aili Dixon and brother Norman Jewett. Bob is survived by his wife of 61 years, his son Kent Jewett of Bath, and daughter Dawn Leonard (James) of Woolwich, six grandchildren, Nicole and Nathaniel Jewett, Connor, Jack, Kate and Anna Leonard, and his sister Sara Fullerton of Bath.
A celebration of life will be held by the family in the spring. The family thanks the Chans Hospice nurses and aides for their warm hearted care and support.
