Joyce M. DeBiase

MECHANIC FALLS – Joyce M. DeBiase, 99, of Mechanic Falls passed away peacefully at home in her own little cozy bed in the early morning of Feb. 10, 2026.

Joyce was born Jan. 6, 1927 in Stark, N.H. to Hazel Cole. She graduated Salutatorian from Mechanic Falls High School in 1944. In August of 1953 she married Domenic DeBiase.

She taught for three years at Job Corps at Poland Spring followed by a long career of teaching for Headstart for 4-year-olds in Poland, Minot and Mechanic Falls. She touched the lives of hundreds of children with her love and patience. She was also a Cub Scout Den Mother and the best cheerleader at her children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events.

She was a member of Our Lady of Ransom Catholic Church. She loved the outdoors and had many wonderful memories from summers at camp on Tripp Lake with family and friends. She also enjoyed sewing, knitting, dancing, crafting, bird watching and working in her flower gardens. She walked everywhere, never having driven a car and she loved going to the gym up until Covid, but continued working out at home until her passing. Her greatest joy was becoming a Nana at the age of 71 and then again five years later. She was blessed to be a part of their lives into their adulthood.

Joyce was predeceased by her mother; her beloved husband, Domenic; three special cousins, Alan Cole, Patsy Boyker and Ruth O’Donnell; and countless best friends that she missed dearly.

She is survived by her children, John (Andrea) and Lori (Ricky); grandchildren Bailey and Benjamin DeBiase; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.

At Joyce’s request there will be no services. We love you dearly Mom/Nana/Joyce, you will be missed greatly.
